Temple B’nai Or (TBO) is seeking a Jewish Religious School Administrator to support our thriving religious school community. In addition to directly supporting the Director of Education, the administrator will serve as a key point of contact for parents, students (K - Gr12) and teachers. The administrator will work closely and collaboratively with our dedicated rabbi and cantor, executive director, preschool director and lay leadership to build meaningful, long-term relationships with our religious school families; to communicate reliably, clearly and promptly; to respond sensitively and confidentially to family’s requests and needs; and to ensure efficient and effective organization of our religious school.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Serve as first point of contact for Religious School, ensure effective communication with all families.
Be present to assist with Religious School (September–May) on Sundays 9:00am– 1:00pm and Mondays 6:00- 8:00 pm
Support regular operations of the TBO Religious School - maintain adequate stock of supplies in the religious school resource room, inventory and order supplies for teachers and programs (including food items), coordinate trips and programs, communicate set up needs for programs and school.
Create and send weekly communications to teachers and parents.
Create a monthly newsletter for school families.
Create flyers for school events.
Oversee and process religious school annual enrollment.
Assist Rabbi and Cantor with all B’nai Mitzvah requirements.
Be part of the Temple Administrative Team during weekday work hours.
What You’ll Bring to the Job:

3+ years experience as an administrative assistant
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms.
Attention to details.
Strong organizational skills
A creative, flexible, positive, and outgoing attitude
Comfort with managing a high volume of short-term and long-term projects with many moving parts.
Ability to work well under pressure and within deadlines.
Team-oriented mindset and ability to work well with colleagues in person and online.
Proficiency with using and learning internet-based applications (Google Suite, Remind, Signup Genius, Doodle, Canva, Constant Contact, Evite, Asana and ShulCloud or ShalomCloud)
Knowledge of the Jewish community and willingness to learn about our specific community.
Experience in Jewish education and/or previous administrative work preferred.
Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 25 per week
